Key Responsibilities
• Analyze production processes, workflows, material movement, labor utilization, and equipment capacity to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and improve process layouts, line balancing, work standards, takt time, cycle time, UPH, and manpower requirements.
• Conduct time studies, motion studies, capacity analysis, and bottleneck analysis to improve production efficiency.
• Support new product introduction, production line setup, ramp-up planning, and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and visual management tools.
• Use Lean manufacturing methods to reduce waste, improve throughput, and increase productivity.
• Analyze production data, quality performance, downtime, labor efficiency, and output trends to support decision-making.
• Partner with Process Engineering, Production, Quality, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Planning teams to resolve operational issues.
• Support continuous improvement projects, cost reduction initiatives, automation studies, and ROI analysis.
• Ensure process changes follow safety, quality, ESD, and compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing, operations, process improvement, or production support is preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, line balancing, time study, and capacity planning.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills
• Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
• ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or similar manufacturing systems.
• Data analysis tools such as Power BI, Minitab, Python, or SQL are a plus.
• AutoCAD, Visio, or layout design tools are preferred.
• Understanding of manufacturing KPIs such as UPH, efficiency, utilization, FPY, downtime, WIP, and labor productivity.
Preferred Certifications
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Green Belt, or Black Belt.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project management training.
• APICS/CPIM or supply chain certification is a plus.
