About the Job
Operational Leadership:
- Direct and supervise all aspects of metal fabrication processes, including cutting, welding, forming, finishing powder coating.
- Ensure production schedules are met while optimizing workflow and minimizing downtime.
Team Management:
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of fabricators, machine operators, and support staff.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Quality & Safety Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA standards.
- Monitor quality control processes to ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
Equipment & Maintenance:
- Oversee proper use and maintenance of fabrication equipment and tools.
- Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance schedules.
Reporting & Metrics:
- Track production KPIs, labor utilization, and material usage.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7+ years in metal fabrication or manufacturing leadership roles.
- Proven track record of managing teams in a hands-on capacity.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, welding processes, and CNC machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Leadership Skills:
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to motivate and develop team members in a high-pressure environment.
